If the electric bill says Duquesne Light, the meter is in the utility's territory: Pittsburgh proper and much of Allegheny County, plus a slice of Beaver County. Neighborhoods from Squirrel Hill to the South Side Flats, and inner suburbs such as Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, and Penn Hills, are the usual Duquesne map. Cross into much of Westmoreland, Butler, Fayette, Washington, or Armstrong County and the bill often becomes a FirstEnergy operating company. Read the logo before using either program below.

That is the instant discount for qualifying air-source equipment. It is open. It is not a rounded estimate, and it is not a second number stacked on top. The project price lives in the installation cost guide. The figure is a line on the incentive, not the job.
The path is a participating distributor, not a homeowner form invented on this page. Ask the bidder to name the distributor and to show whether the discount is already inside the equipment price. A line that says an incentive without the link and the checked date is not this block.
The FirstEnergy program, for a different bill

This maximum belongs to FirstEnergy Pennsylvania meters: West Penn Power, Penn Power, Met-Ed, and Penelec. It is open. The program does not list a per-tier dollar, so this page does not print one. Oil and baseboard houses are common in parts of that outer territory. Their operating difference is in the oil comparison. Do not add the Duquesne instant discount and the FirstEnergy maximum together. One meter, one program.

HEEHR is not open. No dollar is printed for it. A quote that inserts one is not using this program.
What to put on the quote
Confirm Duquesne Light on the bill before using the instant discount. Confirm a FirstEnergy operating company before using the maximum. Write the program name, the link, and the checked date in the same block as the dollar. Specify the equipment by model number. Keep the submittal sheet and the paid invoice together. If the address does not match the utility, the dollar comes off the quote.
Peoples Natural Gas serves many of these same houses on the gas side. It is not the electric incentive. A gas account does not, by itself, open either figure above.

Rates after the check
The one-time discount is smaller than a year of the wrong rate schedule. After a conversion, heating spend moves onto the electric meter. Ask which residential schedule fits an all-electric heating load, and compare supply offers before the first cold month. Pennsylvania customers can choose a generation supplier. That choice repeats every bill. The incentive does not.
Flats and conversions that already heat with electric resistance baseboard are a different case. They are already on the Duquesne meter. A heat pump lowers the electricity used to deliver the same heat. For that stock the rate and the sizing conversation matter every winter, and the instant discount is still only the program above.
